“Schools are advised to motivate their teachers and non-teaching staff to get vaccinated against COVID and submit the information to the portal,” the CBSE said in an official notice.
The central government had previously launched a priority vaccination campaign for teachers. More than two crores of additional vaccine doses were sent to states from August 27 to 31, especially for teaching and non-teaching staff. According to data shared by the Ministry of Education, around 80% of teachers across the country have been vaccinated. According to the data, most of the doses were given in Delhi with up to 98% of teachers and staff in private and public schools. Tamil Nadu until last week reported 90% vaccination among teachers.
